On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the training course on the International Ship and Port Security Code (ISPS Code) concluded in Sousse, Tunisia. The course was organized by the Tunisian International Training Company and attended by the Maritime Administration Director, the company’s Security Officer, and Port Facilities Security Officers from the ports of Zawara, Tripoli, Khoms, and Derna.

The course was conducted under the supervision of the Maritime Authority, represented by the Chairman of the Ship and Port Security Code Implementation Committee at the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority. Over the course of seven days, participants engaged in intensive lectures led by Mr. Murad Gharbal, an expert accredited by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

At the conclusion of the course, participants received accredited certificates, granting them the qualifications necessary to conduct security assessments and prepare security plans for the port facilities operated by the company.
