On Monday, April 14, 2025, a team from the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority, led by Captain Mohamed Ashleibta, Team Leader, and Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Raqibi, Team Member, visited Al-Khums Seaport to assess the port’s compliance with the Port Security Plan. This visit is a crucial step in preparing for the issuance of the International Port Compliance Document (DOC).

The team began its visit by attending the meeting of the ISPS Code Subcommittee at Al-Khums Port. Following this, they conducted a comprehensive tour of the port facilities. They were joined by the Libyan Ports Company Security Officer (CSO), the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), the Port Security Officer (PSO), and several officials responsible for implementing the ISPS Code at the port.

The team will continue its visit to Al-Khums Seaport tomorrow, Tuesday, to complete the tasks assigned to them.
