Eighth Meeting of the Libyan Ports Company Board of Directors Held in Misurata

On Thursday morning, October 31, 2024, the eighth meeting of the Libyan Ports Company Board of Directors for the year took place at the company’s General Administration headquarters in Misurata. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and attended by board members and members of the Supervisory Board.

The Chairman opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, after which the agenda was presented. Key items discussed included:

  • A review and discussion of the executive procedures regarding the topics addressed in the seventh board meeting.
  • An overview and discussion of the company’s activity report for the period from January 1 to September 30, 2024.
  • A review and approval of the estimated budget for expenses and revenues for the year 2025.
  • Approval for the purchase and supply of 10 container handling cranes (Reach Stackers) to enhance handling and storage operations at the ports of Khoms and Tripoli.
  • Approval to sell a number of idle cranes at Tripoli Seaport through public auction.
  • Approval of the Job Description Committee’s report on the inventory of jobs and the determination of job titles.

This meeting reflects the board’s ongoing commitment to improving operational efficiency and supporting the development of Libya’s port facilities.
